The Florida Association for Food Banks The Florida Association of Food Banks is a 501c (3) organization and is committed to making sure that families that need food can get it in a dignified manner and in a way that serves as a real safety net for those who fall on difficult times. Its 15 member food banks serve all 67 counties in the state of Florida. They are affiliated with America’s Second Harvest who has a nationally recognized food distribution system and has 200 member food banks throughout the country. |

Farm Share Established in 1991, Farm Share is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to the recovery, sorting, packing and distribution of nutritious foods for people in need. Farm Share administers gleaning projects, USDA commodity programs, food drives and produce recovery operations from a packinghouse provided by the Florida Department of Agriculture, commissioner Charles H. Bronson. It is located in Florida City, near Homestead, Florida - the heart of Miami-Dade County's farming area.

USDA National Hunger Clearinghouse From food rescue groups in Florida to nutrition programs in Nevada, the National Hunger Clearinghouse is the only centralized national database of innovative organizations working on food, nutrition and agriculture issues in the country. We focus on constructive, community-based solutions to hunger and poverty within and between the public, private and non-profit sectors, and we encourage information and resource sharing.
